Product Description

Strengths

AZOS is a beneficial bacteria that promotes plant growth naturally by fixing atmospheric Nitrogen and converting it to a plant available nutrient. The supplemental source of nitrogen increases the plant's ability to quickly establish roots for faster vegetative growth.

Uses

Apply around the root zone of plants. Apply weekly through vegetative and early flower stages.

Compatibility

AZOS works in all types of growing media and can be used in combination with synthetic and natural fertilizers. Great for Vegetables, Fruits, Herbs & Flowers.

Growth Promoting Bacteria

Nitrogen-Fixing Bacteria - Of all the nutrients transported to plants through the soil, nitrogen is required in the greatest amount. It drives chlorophyll production in the foliage and keeps plants green and efficient. It is a fundamental part of amino acids and other compounds that assure crop health and productivity. It is a major part of every protein molecule and soils are often deficient of this element. However, the atmosphere is comprised of around 80% nitrogen which is in a form (N2 or Atmospheric Nitrogen) that is not conventionally available to plants.

Nitrogen From the Air - Somewhere along with the evolutionary development of the "Plant - Soil - Microbial Matrix", certain bacteria began to specialize in tasks to enhance plant growth, which in return provided the microbes with a food source exchange opportunity. A select group of bacteria classified as "Diazotrophs" began to supply nitrogen to plants from a range of sources, including decomposed plant litter, dead micro-organisms, and sequestration of atmospheric nitrogen. Azos belongs to the last of these groups and functions primarily as an atmospheric nitrogen converter.

A Natural Isolate From the Amazon - Azos is a particularly-efficient agent originally isolated in the Amazon Basin where the lack of soil, the rapid breakdown of any vegetation by hungry microbes, and the environmental conditions which require "Growth to Survive" is a fundamental proposition of the ecosystem. AZOS specializes in the highly-efficient conversion of the N2 form of nitrogen into plant-available ammoniacal nitrogen.

Plant Growth Promoter - With the increased accessibility of nitrogen in the soil, AZOS can catalyze a natural growth hormone within plants that help promote more root and vegetative growth. AZOS is great for rooting out cuttings, transplants, and water-borne applications throughout various plant stages.

AZOS Application:

Rooting Cuttings

1. Add 4 tbsp per 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of water. Soak grow plugs/rockwool cubes for 10 minutes.

2. In a small container, mix 1 part Azos with 2 parts water.

3. Dip tips of new cuttings in solution for 15 seconds and set in plugs.

* For best results, pH water to 6.0 before mixing Azos with water.

Propagation machines : (ex. EZ Clone, Turbo Cloner)

1. Adjust pH of the water to 6.0.

2. Add 1 tbsp (15 ml) Azos per gallon (3.8 L) of water.

Transplanting

Add to the hole, directly around plant roots or dust entire root ball. Set plant, backfill, and water.

1-3 gal (3.8-11.4 L) container:             1 tbsp (15 ml)
5-7 gal (18.9-26.5 L) container:           2 tbsp (30 ml)
10-20 gal (37.9-75.7 L) container:        3 tbsp (45 ml)
25-50 gal (94.6-189.3 L) container:      4 tbsp (60 ml)
100 gal (378.5 L) container:                1/2 cups (120 ml)

In Ground & Raised Beds

1 tbsp (15 ml) per plant hole

When watering

Mix with water and apply weekly through Veg / Grow. Hand water or add to reservoirs.

5 gal (18.9 L):            2 tbsp (30 ml)
25 gal (94.6 L):          3-4 tbsp (45-60 ml)
50 gal (189.3 L):        6-8 tbsp (90-120 ml)
100 gal (378.5 L):       3/4-1 cup (180-240 ml)

For Xtreme Results:

Apply once every two weeks. Repeat application after heavy water. Mix with warm water. Use MYKOS when transplanting.
